Jano your oh oh should have been in caps:-) OK then we will let Paul judge the great garlic challenge as per your suggestion but remember he has been to my house for dinner & he owes me big time:-)
Rod 27-Sep-2005 08:57
Nice try Yvonne trying to get me to change the title to Lung blobs so Jano will get more votes. My manhood is in the balance here, if I can't beat a girl in a garlic shootout then what good am I?.....................DON'T ANSWER THAT:-)

I am not holding the winner's cup yet, Rod, on our own garlic challenge. You have by far the most comments so obviously your attempts are creating quite a stir here. This is a nice shot. Perhaps, ultimately, Paul will be the judge. :) (oh oh) jano

Rod, there will be no awesome shots this late in the game eh??? I think this one of your lungs is really clear and nice. Yvonne
Rod 26-Sep-2005 09:25
Even though I think you might be tricking me into leaving this shot here so you win our own little challenge. I will trust your comments on how fantastic this shot is, so there's no need for me to post me third shot which is totally bleeding awesome. :-):-)

I like this Rod! I feel I can just reach out and touch that garlic. Lots more depth here and the color on the garlic is more appealing. Is this your final shot? jano
Paul 25-Sep-2005 02:59
Interesting to compare this with Janos'. I prefer Janos with things appearing to happen in the shot even though both are inanimate objects but i still like this with the colour and texture.

You removed Mereanas Drawers then ;>)?

This isn't the same shot, is it, Rod? I thought I remembered seeing the tiles more clearly and maybe looking a bit more directly down. I had suggested cropping some off the right so the garlic bulbs would not be so centered. Actually, I think I prefer the earlier version...but then I usually don't like photos taken with flash. Don't you think they'd look much better with dramatic side lighting?

How about this one Mary Anne?
ctfchallenge24-Sep-2005 16:17
Rod, I think you just need to up the contrast and brightness a bit. I think I'd also crop off the right side almost to the edge of the dish to make the image more dynamic. I like the limited color palette.

I know what is lacking Alex, It's lacking a good photographer:-)
ctfchallenge24-Sep-2005 11:00
I really like the complimentary colours in this shot but am not so sure of the perspective, seems a bit bland and lacking something.-alexoki
Rod 24-Sep-2005 03:08
Don't then, see if I care................sniff sniff, boo hoo:-)
janewigginsphotography24-Sep-2005 02:52
I'm not going to say I like the clarity or sharpness of this photo Rod. :) jano
