Sharon - I do like this much better. The colors are well done here and the comp is great. Well done! jano

I like this one better also, the only problem is there's not enough light on your hand. The darkened hand isn't flattering at all compared to the warm light on your arm. Plus there's still far too much towel:-)

Hi Sharon,

I like this version better. The ripple effect added to the other is somewhat distracting. Here the composition is the star and a nice one at that. I also don't see anything wrong with posting some comparison shots. I mean that's what we're all here for , to learn and get better at our craft and have fun or course. I for one like when some comparison shots are posted, so we get to see what each of us thinks of each shot.

Techo :)

The composition of both is great! The colors are very complimentary as well. I think I like some of the glass/p.s. effect. In the shower through the glass a washcloth might be more real or with towel with a more "getting out" position. All of that said, it is a really creative shot. Yvonne

Thanks, Jano, Rentasmo and everyone else for taking the time to discuss this with me. So here is the naked image with no special filters. Please let me know what you think. I would like to apologize for running the comparison shots right here in the eligible gallery. Normally, I would post links to the shots in my PBase gallery but due to some glitch I am currently locked out of it and can't log on. I look forward to your comments! ~Sharon (elips)

I liked the other one better I think. I think the ripple effect may look better with larger ripples. I also was wondering how one might do a simulated soap scum effect. Even more difficult would be droplets on the glass, to give some depth. With all that said it might just be easier to buy a shower door and put it in the foreground :-P

My photoshoppery skills are far from advanced though, so unfortunately I cannot help with the technical aspect. Goodluck!

Thanks, Rentasmo. Not separate intents as such, I am fairly new to photoshop and these are my first experiments with filters. Enough people had problems with my shower door effect that I thought I'd try another and see if people like it better. I will, eventually, leave only one posted for the end of the challenge. Which one do you like best? ~Sharon

This one has a different effect than the previous. The previous looked like you were simulating a shower door, this one looks like an illustration or painting of the situation. Do the pictures have separate intents?
