The Big E sounds good to me! I see it will be on until Oct. 2nd so we have this coming week to get together. Should we move this discussion to the challenge thread and invite any other New Englanders around? Week days are better for me but I might be able to get a weekend day off, let me know what works for you, Mary Anne. Lew, I am sorry you won't be able to join us the first time out but we will be sure to have an outing when you are here. ~Sharon

The Red Lion Inn sounds good to me. Or we could meet at the Big E, which is taking place right now here in my hometown of West Springfield. Lots of good photo ops there if you can stand the crowds and the traffic.

Sharon - at the Red Lion Inn, of course! (Maybe just on the front porch, if prices are too dear :) ) Alas, I'll miss the inaugural session as I'm soon off to the desert southwest until the snow flies here. ... Lew

Thanks for the "nice" offer, Lew! But I went to the first one and that was enough for me! When shall we have the first meeting of the New England Chapter of the CTF Challenge, and where? ~Sharon

Sharon, Woodstock is flattered to be considered part of New England. In appreciation, you are hereby invited to our next Festival (and can have my ticket!) ... Lew

That would be great, Mary Anne! We might want to make it a little broader so we can include Shu, who I believe lives around here somewhere, and Lew, who lives in Woodstock NY, and there must be others who live in New England (I always include eastern NY in New England). Then we can offer honorary memberships to those Atlanta guys when they come up this way! Great idea! ~Sharon (elips)

Sharon, maybe we could form a Western Mass chapter of CTF Challenge. Can't let those guys in Atlanta have all the fun. LOL.

Thanks, everyone, for your nice comments! Although I live very close to Hancock Shaker Village this was actually taken at Old Sturbridge Village, another very nice historical site. ~Sharon (elips)

I agree with Mary Anne - the first thing I thought of was Shaker Village in Hancock MA. And such a wonderful window view to complement this peaceful scene. ...Lew

What an excellent exposure & light, lovely shot Sharon. I also like the light making the holes stand out.

I love the lighting and composition of this shot. It has a certain Shaker-like simplicity and serenity to it. Very nice.
