Thanks Rod.
Rod 29-Aug-2005 00:29
That's a lot better, it works well now.

Thanks Mary Anne.

Much better, Aam. The cloned area is slightly visible, but probably only to those of us who saw the original version with the other rod. Good job.

Ahh! Much better without the distracting second rod. Good work! ~Sharon

Thanks aam, I use PS CS, I made a new layer checked the aligned and use all layers box (not sure if these are in PSE2 has these options) and cloned very close to the second rod. adjusted opacity slightly. This one was quite easy because there isn't that much detail in that area.

WAW James Ross, that's brilliant!! Please tell me what you did. Thanks!

Does PSE2 have a "use all layers" optionon the cloning tool? If so use that option and adjust opacity on the new layer to get it "right"

Ok, I'll give it a try.
aam1234 28-Aug-2005 00:06
I agree with you totally, with a capital "T". But have you tried to clone something like that. Believe me, it's a nightmare. And you end up ruining the photo.
ctfchallenge27-Aug-2005 23:56
I agrre about the second rod.
Paul 27-Aug-2005 23:52
Good shot Aam, i agree about cloning out the second rod as it breaks up the feeling of openess and light to the right of the image.
Rod 27-Aug-2005 23:46
It's a very good idea & works quite well. I would clone out the second rod if possible. Well done Aaammm.
aam1234 27-Aug-2005 22:57
How about now.
aam1234 27-Aug-2005 22:35
Agree with you Mary Anne about the crop, gave me a big headache. But I think the rocks are ok if you ask me.

Lee, I so regret not asking one of the guys to remove the second rod. I knew it shouldn't be there at the time the pic was taken...does aam1234 ask to remove it? No! ... that's the difference between amateurs and experienced photographers I guess :(
Guest 27-Aug-2005 22:16
AAM1234, I would clone out the second rod and your horizon is not level. Also a good Faceless shot.
ctfchallenge27-Aug-2005 22:16
Good title and interesting shot, Aam, especially the way the fishing rod fades into nothingness. However, there's something about the composition that doesn't quite seem to work for me. Have you tried it as a vertical shot so that the fisherman is not so close to center? You know, crop off a portion of the left side, which will also eliminate some of the distracting rocks and pavement.
