Okay, I finally figured out how to get rid of the grain on the face. But I have left the grain in the rest of the image because I was trying for that old time look. Is this better? I've lost any perspective on this! ~Sharon

That's one cool lady. Reminds me of those detective movies in b/w with the voice over. I agree with Rod, I too like the vertical line. This shot just wouldn't be the same without it.

I'm one who likes noise under certain circumstances. If the image had a tad less.....? I love the pose and expression. Great idea! shu

Here is the reworked image. There is slightly less grain. Just think of it as film noir, the grain adds to the moodiness! Thanks again for all your comments. ~Sharon

Thanks for the comments everyone! Paul, thanks for the complement! But this is a black & white challenge and I was trying for the film noir look. I liked the first crop too but it got 56 page views and not one comment. Rod, it was shot at iso1600, I think the grain is from the crop and maybe too much Photoshopping. I will try again from scratch and see if I can make it better. ~Sharon

I've looked at this one a lot since you first posted it. I liked the first crop better and i don't really like the grain we've got now. My problem with it from the start though is it's in black and white. The thing that struck me first off from the thumbnail alone was your lovely big ,juicy lucious lips and they should not, never ever be a shade of grey.

I love the composition and the mystery of this shot. The noise on the face is a bit distracting for me. Yvonne

I like the new crop. Little too much noise?
Rod 26-Aug-2005 22:02
.Very French looking (sexy) I like this better with only one vertical line behind you. Unsure about the grain though I would rather shoot at iso1600 than add grain in PS as it looks less obvious. It could be because the shot is now blown up from the original. Good shot Sharon
