Thanks mate.

Big difference for the better Rod, well done. It feels really cold with that light on the side of the building that was half hidden before.

Bah, humbug.....new fangled contraptions:-)

Well lookie here! Uncle Roddy is PSing is butt off now! You did it and now it really opens up the shot. Much improvement! ~ Lonnit

James, you were supposed to just say nice shot or well done. Not pick on the main focal point of me shot the branch with lovely leaves on:-) Thanks all, the offending branch with leaves has now gone poof with the clone tool. It does look better....I think. Thanks again:-)

I've got to agree about the branch of the evergreen it does draw the eye and is out of place next to the naked decidious, but a nice picture otherwise.

Well I didn't say "just lasso out" I said you "might" but the tougher part is matching back the sky. Perhaps you could clone that small area to the right of the branch and copy it multiple times to a new image so it becomes a larger area to sample from. Then you can try cloning it back in. You have the advantage of it being in BW so you don't have to worry about colors matching. ~ Lonnit

Rod, I think the photo is really good and really works. Yvonne

Thanks Aamm & Lonnit. Here you go again again Lonnit "just lasso out that section" What does that mean, I know how to lasso it but what then?:-)

I don't find that branch bothersome at all, little imperfection maybe, but nothing serious. You are there Rod (re: B&W).

Nice one, Rod. Yes, that leafy branch is in a very poor position; I'd have liked the house to have some breathing room. You might be able to lasso out that section without too much trouble. ~ Lonnit

It's not really obstrusive especailly if you consider there's all evergreens as the backdrop to the right but as your eye is drawn towards the building it seems to get in the way...a bit... Cloning out such a large bit with a background of sky can end up a mess, i know, my cloning in nearly always a mess.
Rod 23-Aug-2005 12:21
Yes I see it, trust you to notice as I didn't fancy cloning in the sky area as I will leave tell tale signs. But just for you I will have a go:-)

Bugger me, this works with the bare branches and the brightness of the side of the building. It has an air of out of season seaside which it wouldn't have if we saw the glorious blue sky and water in colour.
One nitpick, the bottom branch on the left that's in full leaf from what i assume is a neighbouring tree needs to go. Do you see the one i mean?
