Poor ole Blue he doesn't put an * & still gets his shots worked over. I don't think we even look for the *. Still you should be pleased you got a rare comment from Iso.

Just for that, I will remove the comment, I always get suckered in to an explanation :(

Huh? Anyway Eric. I'd just like to pipe up that I love this photo. I look at it every time I visit the gallery. I think she's very beautiful and I love the enigmatic eye contact. That hand is a matter of taste, and I can't say I have a problem with it as it adds that little bit of mystery to the shot. Knowing a bit of background information about the photo now takes the edge off of it a little for me. I prefered it when I could make my own mind up about things, which is how most photos are seen anyway.
No (*) so I won't crit though.

I thought most glamour shots were plastic barbies Aaammm. But I know wot you mean.
aam1234 19-Aug-2005 06:46
This one on the other hand is...a plastic Barbie.

Allow me to disagree Rod. The type of photo is irrelevant. The spirit of the person is. ISO's photo is so mundane that it's not even worth a look. But if you look at it, it speaks loud.
Rod 19-Aug-2005 05:10
Not sure if Iso's shot is relevant here Aaammm, as his is a candid & this is a glamour shot.

Maybe that's why they (the photos) look so cold.

Have a look at this photo by iso3200 and you (and myself) would know what a photo can say:

My interpretation is slightly different than your psychiatrist :)

As beautiful as she is, and as gorgeous her eyes might look, the overall tone of her photo is rather cold. I'm guessing it's a noob model at a photo shoot.

Found it! the hand taking the center stage is what makes this photo different. It (the hand) indirectly put emphasis to the beautiful woman's face and specially her eyes.

Hope that makes sense.

She would, she would. Sorry, could not resist. Great shotg btw

You're really going to hate me now! The new crop means that the hand takes up a greater percentage of image space, making it seem a bit large and overwhelming, whereas before it wasn't a problem. This is a tough image to crop. I think having the eyes at the mid-line is what makes it tougher. It was really bugging me about how I would crop it if it were my image. I played around with a bunch of cuts and I came up with this:http://www.pbase.com/image/47884843. Not that it's any better! LOL! I was trying to minimize the hand as much as possible. I don't know. Your crop is probably better.

A lovely shot, Bleau. I'm having a hard time with the crop though. I know you didn't really want to chop off the top of the head, but it's getting very bottom-heavy and leaves too much emphasis on the uninteresting/unimportant hair in the shadows of the background. Now, aren't you thrilled to have me back picking on you! LOL! ~ Lonnit
