Great capture of white on white. It is really not easy. I have tried it yesterday but after several tries I surrendered, I did not get anything good enough as an entry. Good job.

Hi Techo - you are correct - it's not that I was lazy (lol) but I have taken the advice and with a click of the magic mouse, little teenie dark filiments are now gone! jano

Hello again :)

I didn't notice those tiny black specks on the spool till Paul pointed it out but I agree that it doesn't take anything away from this wonderful shot. White on white one shots are one of my favorite themes of art/photography.

Btw, you can try the cloning out and I'm sure you won't lose any detail. If zoom into this resized photo at 400% you can make it. Since the detail repeats its self that should make the job easier.

Well done Jano, Mereana asked why I didn't do a sewing type shot with all the sewing stuff around here. Then she quickly said that I couldn't take a shot as good as this anyhow:-) Nice work.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. Paul - no dirty lens, I'm afraid if you look closely at any cotton spool, you will find it contains little particles of this or that. I could have cloned them out, but was afraid of ruining any details. jano

Very good indeed, i like the detail here especially the fine filaments of the cotton. Have you got a dirty lens though? There appears to be some black bits on the lower part of the cotton reel, perhaps tiny dirt particles on the cotton itself. It doesn't draw away from the image though.

Good work Jano! Very appealing.

Excellent! If you managed this, you shouldn't have problems with quarters (re your comment to me :)

What a great shot, Jano. White on white, and not a blown highlight in sight. WTG, girl!

This is great! I really like it. I took a photo with this theme in mind a couple of days ago but haven't posted yet
