Very nice! I like this a lot. Jano, mentioned the crop. I think this shot would also work very well in a portrait crop, by just cropping out the right half side.

It's a 55mm close-up lens:http://www.pbase.com/photoman/image/33904720 Seems to work well on my 85mm/1.8 and my Sigma 70-300 APO; brings the working distance in to 6"-10".

I stand corrected Tom. You are right, it's not an option to make everything in-focus with a DSLR in this situation.

Btw, what is "B-Macro".

More "automatic" than "intentional"... it's hard NOT to get "something" oof with an XT, or any other DSLR for that matter. Thanks for all the kind words! - Tom

Jano said it's ok to come back and comment again. Well, I will. One of the things that makes this photo so beautiful is the oof parts. They all lead your eyes to that fellow. Which says something about the composition. I'm sure it not intentional though :) but it works wonderfully nonetheless.

Excellent Tom, i thought it was just leaves from the thumbnail so wasn't going to open it but what a surprise. Great capture

Glad the fella is not taking big part of the photo, makes the "look" more effective/mysterious. The details of the skin are beautiful. Well, the whole picture is beautiful.

Very very very very nice!!!! Having just a very slight problem with the out of focus front leaf on the bottom right. It doesn't take away from the image, however, as my eye is drawn to the subject. I think you could crop this and still have good composition but maybe others have different thoughts. This is just such a cute photo, very nice and so sharp! jano

This is wonderful, Tom! Another one that surprises you when you open the full-sized picture, just looking at the thumbnail doesn't do it. Good catch! ~Sharon
