This has a business stock photo look to it. The ulta sharpening fits this gentleman's portrait more than the tough guy's. Great job Lonnit!

Keep trying new things Lonnit, even if the shots are not liked as much as your normal style, it will only improve how you end up. Portraits would have to be geared towards how you interpret the personality of the subject, but a certain style could be a part of shots. Colour is quite risky to work with when stretching out but it's the only way to learn so keep stretching yourself. I think you're on the right track.

The shot looks the right way up viewing it down under. You should do two versions for both hemispheres:-) I love the shadings in this shot & the contradictions from the cool tones of the window blinds to the warm reflection on the wall & ceiling. The exposure is spot on too. I think with all the great elements this would work flipped 180deg also. Very well seen & shot Lonnit.
