10th June Andy Syed

Washed Out *

France

iso 100 1/250th sec f/6.3 52mm

The harshness of the midday sun reminds me of home (which is still Adelaide).
This is a disused farm building behingd the house.

I really like the compo and subdued colors here, Andy. You can frame this and safely call it art :o)

Lots of texture here. A tad too harsh for my eye, though

Good textures and light. Thought it was a Julian Hebbrecht image. It has his syle all over it.

"I knew it was your shot from the thumbnail"... and because of the frame, obviously.. LOL... c'mon Rod, he just discovered how to do it in PS ;-)...

Andy, it's a great shot, I like the texture, the lighting, very nice. Well done, mate.

It looks like a drawing because of the silly frame. I don't know Andy, we took you in off the streets & taught you everything we know (which only took 30secs) then you toddle off to the posh posh challenges & come back here with your shots festooned in bells & whistles. Looks very professional doesn't it? Even though professionals don't use frames & sigs, it's sort of an upper class twitish thing to do. Can we talk you into going into rehab? Just keep away from the posh posh challenge whilst you're undergoing treatment cos we would love to get you back into photography mate:-) One benifit you will get from the silly frames is you will gets lots of comments like "I knew it was your shot from the thumbnail":-) At the most, a simple border is all that's needed. But you know that anyhow:-) I hope you haven't got into the heavy stuff like copyright sigs, as this could be more serious than I thought.

I like the textures on this one - looks almost like a drawing.

You are tempting me Andy. Just discovered the Channel Mixer so I'm turning everything to B&W. Will report shortly :)

The harsh lighting has its own appeal in this image. The textures are pleasingly exaggerated by the lighting. Frame well chosen! Shu
