Sic transit gloria mundi *

This is a bit nontraditional take on cathedral in Roskilde, Denmark. All the kings of Denmark of the last four hundred years are buried there

I have used here about half of my knowledge of Latin. For those who are even more Latin challenged than me the translation is "Thus passes away the glory of the world"

Good one Alexeig, you've got a great DOF. Very pretty. The textures of the leaves are appealing. -Cat

Many thanks for encouraging comments. Colors are realistic, it was a very sunny day and the young leaves are backlit by the sun. Yes, it was not easy to shoot against the sun and still avoid flare

All those nice bright colors...I knew it was alexeig. It's almost too pretty to be considered "disproportion"--which is to say that I like it.

BTW, can someone give me a link to the DSLR Challenge? I still have only a G3, but I'd like to see the photos there while I'm considering my next purchase.

you did a good job covering the distance (not completely but good enough for my eyes) between the church and leaves. i like the glowing effect on the plants. it must be difficult to shoot against Sun. i am glad you were able to participate in the challenge. i appreciate it and congratulations on winning exhibition in DSLR. -Abstract
