Pepper Up to the Occasion! *

The title is kind of a play on words for this challenge (yes it is difficult! lol). I went to the store and bought peppers to cut up to help my sister out for her son's graduation party as she's making sloppy joes, and I came up with this idea on the way home. I don't know how many photos I took before i got one I felt was close to what I envisioned. Now, back to cutting.....

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I never thought green peppers could be so esthetically pleasing, but yours really are. They look like one of those cheerleaders pyramids - I keep expecting the top one to jump off the screen. Well done!

This is very good. The peppers seem very meaty and three dimensional. Black and green come together very well too

Love the moody look of the peppers. theFly

This does look terrific, with the lighting making it spot on. Goodun Jano.

Nicely done. I would keep the original size to 800x640 and increase the file to as close to 150k as possible to bring out more of the finer details.
I do like the concept a lot. It would make for great advertising.

Jano, you mentioned about having your own photos on your walls...i think you have got one for your kitchen now :) -Abstract

Thanks Paul - actually the top pepper is on a skewer suspended above the others so as to disproportion it from the others. The skewer was held in place by two peppers at the bottom. Mighty large peppers they were! jano

It seems as if the closest pepper is floating way above the rest and has the proportions of a pumpkin, this is facinating to look at. Great shot

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I really tried on this shot for something that I didn't have to crop or manipulate. Shot in manual mode after many attempts, hand held, bending over. I've been going to the chiropractor since last Wed for my neck so I'm glad I got this before I simply fell over! jano

this shot has a really nice feel to it. i like it. even lighting is nice. the top one pops out of the frame.
let me guess, this is the closest you could get to the top pepper without letting bottom ones out of frame. -Abstract
