Ahh, next time I hear "well, it's not like MY car's fumes make that much of a difference anyway", I'll show them this shot. Wonderful idea, and the allignment of the two curves makes it work really well. As for the noise, you could try and select just the exhaust in a separate layer and apply a little gaussian blur, or even a noise reduction filter - there are no fine details to be lost in that area of the picture.

Thanks for your suggestions. Cropped, darkened, saturated. I like it better! - Max Buten

I really appreciate this concept as the pipe is wrapping around the building so perfectly! Less noise and more "pop" to the photo would portray this to its full potential. jano

The concept is excellent. The image needs some PS work. It needs more contrast - the blacks should be black, and maybe bump up the saturation too while your at it. Then you'll really have something teriffic here. :) ~ Lonnit

The noise in and around the exhaust pipe comes from adjusting it so that you can tell the inside from the outside. On the original, it's solid black. Would that be better? I adjusted by selecting the exhaust and creating a screen layer. - Max

Very nice compo! It shows a perfect disproportion... I tend to agree with Abs about it's noise... but I like the shot.

i would have titled it "polution" :)
nice shot but the noise is way too high for my comfort level. this is a day shot, so its not from high iso...so did you crop a lot or what?
i like the meaning of the shot...conveys city polution perfectly. -Abstract
