I like your warm color, it speaks about relaxing evening.

Ha ha Paul, you are so funny. I'm not talking about that finger (which I can see now since you mentioned it) but the burgundy reflection on the glass, which happens to be close to your fingers.

Damn! That's where i hit my nail with a hammer about 6 weeks ago, i cloned it out of the other shot and forgot with this one, thanks for picking it up.
aam1234 06-May-2005 23:39
Btw, you might want to clone out the little reflection on the right side of the glass. It makes it look as if you painted your nails...not good on a guy :)
aam1234 06-May-2005 23:36
Now you are talking Paul. Much better. was going cross-eyed with the previous version.
Paul 06-May-2005 23:15
Slightly different image without the greyness. It's a lot better in comparison i think
Paul 06-May-2005 05:34
I see what you mean now. It does look a tad grey now you mention it. I'll have a play around tonight and see what i come up with. It came out quite dark which was what i wanted but in the original you couldn't quite make out the glass of wine enough so i played around with contrast and brightness and something else that i can't remember what which will have given it the greyness.
Thanks

I meant "Black Point".
aam1234 06-May-2005 04:22
No no Paul, not remove color. See, the photo looks as if there is a gray layer over it, so was suggesting to remove that layer. Another method that you can use is "black spot" (I think).
Paul 06-May-2005 01:28
Aam, still don't know what you mean by removing the 'color cast' Do you mean removing all the colour in the image? I wouldn't want to do that as the warm light and the red wine are supposed to give the mood of the shot
aam1234 05-May-2005 20:36
Well, you don't want to get PP advice from me. But if you insist, you can try this simple method: Enhance /Adjust Color/Color Cast. Then pick either a totally black or totally white spot. It's easier than it looks. Oh, if it messes your photo, ask more knowledgeable people :)
Paul 05-May-2005 19:59
What's a 'color cast' Aam? How do you remove it?
Thanks

Nice to see you reading the Aussie classics Paul. I like the warm lighting on this & the wine bottle just seen is a nice touch mate.
Guest 05-May-2005 13:58
Well done Paul, I like the effect of the soft lighting, but I don't know about reading in the dark. ;-)
aam1234 05-May-2005 12:54
Great photo Paul. But can't you remove the color cast. It could be done easily, unless it's intentional. Still like it as it is.
