The morning after*

I actually took this for the CSLR challenge 'Red' but after re-reading this challenge "the effect of drink" I figured it would make a slightly different take on this challenge as well. This is the morning after effect of drink, from some idiots that think it's better to defile the environment than act with a little respect. This image is personal as myself and a group of other local people cleared this very area of a lorry load of litter just a few days before.....

I'm not at all happy with the technical aspect of this shot. The bottle was in sunlight and the pond in shade. I blended 2 exposures to increase the dynamic range but still dont like the result. I've never done a selective B&W like this so feedback welcome. I may try and visit the site again and reshoot it for a better effect.

Full colour shot looks very green! I only posted it as I had wanted to take the shot. I'll try and re-shoot it tonight, when the light is different and see what it looks like.

How does the full-color version look?

Yeh, it's a good shot, but somehow too flat for me...

Selective desaturation rarely works for me. You're not real happy with the shot so trust your own feelings:-)
