Overflow pipe (*)

Pontsticill, Wales.

Once again, pushing the boundaries of the challenge, but it sort of proves that the previous shot does indeed fill a reservoir. This was taken from the dam next to the water treatment plant.

Scratch that, I've shrunk the window and scrolled so that the water is lined up with the top of the browser window. It's not bowed, it's an optical illusion. It's level. -- Richard

I think it's a lens artifact because of the 12mm lens, it can bow images slightly if the camera isn't perfectly level front to back. --Richard

This one works and works well. The body of water is clearly a reservoir and the overflow has aspects of a mouth into which the water would pour. Shame there's no water flowing in this day. The large mouth of the overflow almost gives you a feel of vertigo drawing you in and down through the photograph. It looks like it's sloping to the left though, is that an optical illusion created by the level walkway above or is it a camera/lens artefact?
