Yes I wanted to crop the wall, but by doing so it will mess the pic imo.
Rod 08-May-2005 11:30
Its better amm but I would have given it more as it's competing with the white wall on the right. Didn’t you want to crop it out?
aam1234 04-May-2005 14:58
Hi Uncle Rod. Done sharpening, and hope there is a difference.
Rod 04-May-2005 10:12
Waiting, waiting:-)

Thank you Alex.

Nice idea. The glass to the left is a tad soft though. USM may help
aam1234 02-May-2005 04:15
It definitely needs USM, and lots of it as Uncle Rod demonstrated in the main thread. Thanks iso3200 for the comment.

I love her expression and the colours. DOF is attractive. Bright white area a bit of a distraction but cropping in would probably be a bit too severe I guess. Nice entry. could do with the USM as Rod says.
Rod 01-May-2005 16:49
For me there's a shot in there amm just with a crop & some USM. As far as I know you really have to post process with the Dslr cameras. Do you use the USM amm? If not you may have to turn up your in camera sharpening as your shots come up looking really good with a bit of PP. I have posted some of me messing with this shot in the main thread mate:-)

Thank you guys very much for the comments. Agree that it would have been better if the jug was bigger in the photo, I almost didn't submit it because of that. Thanks again.

great expression on her face. she looks mighty thirst. would have loved to see more frost on the glass, but that doesn't detract from this shot at all.

Nice play with the DOF to create a real impact on the glass. theFly

This pictures impact comes from the human content. I would have liked perhaps a full length of the water jug, even if it was only half. Perhaps a table top to, just to help the eye recreate the scene.

Aam, A great candid and on topic! Good one! -Cat

Hi aam,
I like this image. I like that the focus is on the subject of the picture, and it conveys "thirst". I also like the colors and the contrast. Did you vary your parameters, or did you shoot RAW?

In any case, it is post processing which makes the difference in a picture.

Thanks Paul.

This is much more interesting than the coffee cup Aam, i like it. I can imagine her throwing a tantrum to get to the drink with her wild hair bouncing up and down.
