Thanks eosman, Humberto and Rod. No, I don't know what TA is... I do know that the light in that shot was poor - just a small fluorescent above. This caused the eyes to be in shadows, no reflections means they don't seem in focus :-( \Oved

The old rule of thumb for close up portraits is to get the eyes sharp. I can see areas of the shot that appear sharp enough intermixed with not so sharp parts. If you can work out what TA is Oved let me know?:-) Well shot Oved.
