You know I thought about doing that. I was thinking maybe to have my wife stand just far enough away to be barely visible. Oh well, too much work to redo it at this point.

Thanks for your comments.

This is nice idea and good execution. Except that it would be more convincing with, say, reflection on face

I gotta be honest, it doesn't work for me. Techinacally great.... interpretation .. is suppose. I think i would have liked to have seen something illuminated by the light (apart from the hand). I'll expect equal honesty if i ever get a submission in.

I hint of light in a completely dark photo communicates a lot. Good work Derek! -Cat

Derek, I'm glad you decided to re-upload another shot. The completely black one did have me scratching my head. Was thinking that maybe something was wrong with pbase.

I like this Derek. It represents the dark side very well and also reminds me of stadium bands as Floyd were and the propensity of folks to whip out their lighters to wave along to the music. Good shot.
Regards

Abstract, I didn’t understand what you were saying at the time until I saw the news later that night. It doesn’t make sense in what they are doing because they still allow you four packs of matches.

Thanks for your comments.

Originally I had a completely black picture but I think it created confusion.
I updated the original with this one.
