Community Chest*

These are tiny Guatemalan Worry People. You hang them above your bed
(or put them in a box on the nightstand if you're me)
and they do the worrying for you.
Since I'm not worried about winning, I guess they're working.

These little handmade people are less than an inch tall.
I wonder if that worries them.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Thanks to everyone for your generous comments. I'm glad you like the little people. Their chest is from India, by the way. Yes, thanks to Leela, we do have a lot of lovely little pieces around the house.

Hi Jose... there's a shop in Hong Kong that imports and sells them (it's quite a forgettable name so I'll have to memorize it next time I'm there). When I get time, I'll post a shot of the two larger figures (not that you haven't seen them before). It's easier to dot the eyes on the bigger ones, but the miniature people have their own small charm.

Hi Don. Great shot and clever idea for the challenge. I have a lot of curiosity where you got these?
Gayle, If you want I can get you some. You can often found them on handcrafts markets here in Guatemala.

Don. Great idea and subject! You also chose an appropriate chest for them. LOL. I like the concept of worriers too :-) Cat

This is beautiful, Don. Gorgeous colours, GREAT lighting and really interesting subjects. I need to get some of these little worriers, cos I tend to worry about everything. Although every day at 5.30pm when I leave the workshop, I hang my work worries on the doorknob as I go out. Then I collect em the next day when I go back in.
