Great! Hmm, I don't know if the oml enhances the plate or the plate enhances the oml, or both enhances the mat or all enhance the picture ... I am lost, I guess it happens when you are hungry and see pictures like this, your brain stops working ... :-) -Cat

Hi Lee,

I like your crop. I will be making the change soon. Thanks!

Nugar,

What do you think of a tighter corp of this image? I think it brings out the stronger diagonals vs the strong circle of the plate. Just a thought.

thighter crop

Hey Rod, I don't know why I didn't notice your comment until now, thanks! Great unhealthy breakfast, I might add, including some fritters :o)

OMG! Am I making a small dent in the popular culture?? For some reason I just love saturated (hypersaturated?) colors.

again "Nugar-colors".
i used "nugar-colors" word while commenting on one of my friends bright colored clothes...then i had to explain her what does that mean.
This shot makes me hungry. -Abstract

Hi Techo,

The image quality on this lens can get very good. I haven't been able to get the elusive tack sharp images at 2.8, but I haven't tried with a tripod. It is a good walk around lens, although I find it a bit short on the long side. A 28-135 would have been better, but at the time I bought, I wanted f/2.8 all over the zoom's range. The same with the Sigma 70-200. I do find that I need a wider lens, but right now I'm in the middle of getting some money to haul our collective family hineys to Prague, where my daughter will enter a ballet competition.

What I don't like is that it doesn't have USM and sometimes I tend to turn the focusing ring with the AF focused, which may damage it, I think.

Nice shot Humberto, I imagine you needed the focusing abilities of the 20D to keep track of the omelette as your wife kept pushing the plate towards you telling you to eat your breakfast:-)

Very nice touch with the shadow line going across the plate. Just a small nit pick, if the mat was moved a little more to the left, you'de have that diagonal line running all the way through the bottom left corner. Also, great to see some shots with the Tamron 28-75mm, thanks for including that info. How do you like that lens so far? I'm thinking of purchasing a lens that closely matches the range of the powershot I had, not too tele and not too wide. I'm a bit split between the Sigma and this Tamron.

LOL! I love the colors on that plate too!

I recognize that plate :) Love the colors.
