Sorry, my dictionary doesn't have words for this one. Wow will have to do while I go back and look again.
Techo 26-Mar-2005 17:17
Thanks :-) I found two copies of the comments in the temporary files folder, but they have been overwritten with newer versions of the page. If you like I can fill for Lonnit? In her post, she said how much she liked your photo and asked(or mentioned) if you did some PS work, which she said is perfectly fine if you did. I agree :-) you did such a splendid job here.
ctfchallenge26-Mar-2005 07:03
Nawwww......that's OK Lonnits on a roll at the moment and if she reposts we might all end up in gaol(jail).

and for Rod, as you may already know... if you're logged in as "ctfchallenge" you can edit any comment posted in the last 30min. If you're not logged in, I just copy my comment text, quickly delete the comment and paste in the text into a new comment, edit it and re-post. p.s. I didn't go a head and delete my post, the one I intially intended to. I just missed entering a few words, so I left it as is. Sorry for all the controversy, and yes I'll try to get back Lonnit's comment, maybe it's somewhere in the temp. internet files folder.

Actually I triple(not double or doubled, LOL) checked ;-)
Techo 25-Mar-2005 21:35
Hello :) I doubled checked the browser's history and it only logged one comment delete for this photo (h--p://forums.pbase.com/topic?topic_id=2736393&cmd=delete_post&post_id=2448879), I also remember accidently hitting the delete option once so someone else may have deleted Shu's comment, I wouldn't be afraid to admit it.
ctfchallenge25-Mar-2005 21:15
Um.I think you deleted the first two comments, one from Shu and the other from Lonnit, maybe they can remember what they said and put them back in.

How do you edit the text in the comments Techo?
Just so I can get rid of all the adverse comments to me shots:-)
Techo 25-Mar-2005 19:41
oops, I accidently deleted Lonnit's first comment :-( Sorry. My mistake, wanted to edit out a typo in my post.
Techo 25-Mar-2005 19:38
Awesome shot and PS work :-)
Paul 25-Mar-2005 05:07
Red Sails In The Sunset was The Oils 4th or 5th album, damn good too. If this was the sunset of course then you've done a wonderful job of editing out a rather large structure that tends to get in the way, namely the Harbour Bridge. Red Sails In The Sunrise doesn't have quite the same ring though.
ctfchallenge24-Mar-2005 21:59
No,I was thinking more of the direction of the sun....which would mean?

Rod 24-Mar-2005 21:32
I remember the Platters version:-) Why did you say secret Blue? Now we're thinking you added the sky,...or.....I'm just leaving it as a great shot:-)
ctfchallenge24-Mar-2005 05:05
I didn't realise it was an "Oilers" recording .
Here I was thinking it was the "old" Red Sails in the Sunset.
Oh, and Paul ,seeing you pass it everyday then there is a little secret we both share about this shot.

Stunning shot, i pass this nearly every day and have never seen it captured so beautifully. Any photograph with a Midnight Oil title is worth a cheer too.

Congratulations on a unique and fabulous image.-alexoki

One of the best best shots I've seen since coming to DPReview. Maybe I should say THE best shot, as I can't think of a better one I've seen here. Great work Blue.
RH Photography22-Mar-2005 08:23
This is truely a work of art, a masterpeice!
ctfchallenge22-Mar-2005 03:31
Absolutely fantastic! And, to have come up with such a unique take on one of the world's most photographed buildings, I must truly applaud you! Congratualtions on a very fine capture. I am certain you will be able to market this image if you try. ~ Lonnit

all i can say is "wow". beautiful colors and interesting composition. -Abstract
ctfchallenge22-Mar-2005 02:29
That's Ok I always like to tweak my colours a bit or add a filter for effect.
The light was very low from in front so I had to lift the levels as well and remove some noise. I did not have my tripod with me at the time so I had to compensate by iincreasing the ISO.
