Alexeig... A wonderful composition, but I agree it would be better without the moon.
Perhaps if the moon was larger in this photo, it would be worth leaving in.

Cat, yes, I noticed this triangle myself, of course. Many thanks for discussion!

True, diagonals and triangles. Yes, I noticed the diagonal composition. No problem there. My point was you "also" have a nice smaller triangle in your composition apart from your larger prominant one. Cover the smaller one with your hand and you'll see a differnce, as if something is missing. But reduce the larger (blue sky) one you may not miss much. I hope I was able to explain my point of view. I think the smaller one has more powerful presence in your picture. And the presence or absence of the moon does not bother me, however since it is included AND reflects the same repeating shapes, it adds value. -Cat

Thanks for comments, BUT, I thought that it is diagonally composed???? Is not the challenge about diagonals too?

Oh! Tom, I thought the triangle at the bottom left corner should be enough. -Cat

Very nice image, but I'm having a hard time getting it fit theme. I just think the blue triangle is a little too abstract for me. Don't think the moon should be there (for this theme). - Tom

Thanks a lot for comments, I shall try it without the moon and see how it looks

stegosaurian... postapocalyptic... OMG, I'll have to dust my big word dictionary! LOL!

I like the idea that you selected the shapes to match the moon's phase. -- Cat

Very nice composition it really looks like some huge, postapocalyptic machinery. The color noise is a little bit irritating especially in the shadows.
It could really be a good idea to look at the picture without the moon.

Powerful, stegosaurian image... that I'm going to pass along a piece of advice about. I took a very stark rail with a small moon just above the vertical portion of the picture and someone wrote to tell me how much better it would be without the moon. I was shocked. Half the purpose and interest (I felt) was the moon. Thinking about it some more, however, I realized he was right. I think your image would be much more focused without the beauty mark.
