Olympic Park (*)

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Part of the legacy of the Olympics coming to Atlanta in 1996 was a great park that was left behind. A lot of growth in downtown has centered around the park.

Great one Lee, I like it. One of the significant spots in downtown Atlanta. It used to be a rundown area, but when Olympics were held in Atlanta 1996, they flattened the whole area and made this park. Each brick on the floor is etched with names of the donors who contributed funds when this park was built. There is a name search kiosk nearby to locate your brick, that is if you donated towards the park fund raiser.

Thanks All. It was a warm day in Feb yesterday. Ht high got to about 60+ deg. F. It was warm if you stayed in the sun. This is a very popular location during the summer.

The park is surrounded by a new Kids Museum and they are building an aquarium and relocating the World of Coke.

Nice! The kids seem to be having fun slidding in the wet floor!

Well done Lee a fine shot of the city with the added interest of the park. Is it hot enough to get wet there in winter?
