Most of you know that digital photography is only my second passion. First is flying radio control model airplanes. Well, actually, Mrs. Pops is number one, flying and photography are a distant second and third.
This is where I fly and this is where you will find me every Wednesday and Friday morning.
The Cobb County Radio Control club (CCRC) was founded in 1962. I've been a member since 1990. This is the fourth or fifth field the club has used. It's open area is something like 20 acres. We've been here since 1994. The runway, 450 ft x 50 ft was paved in 1999. Currently the CCRC is the 12th largest RC club in the US. We have about 200 members. The field includes storage, rest rooms, covered work areas and a separate area for helicopter pilots.
