This normally busy intersection on a drizzly afternoon, is all but
abandoned after an overnight snowfall on an official Gov't holiday.
Nobody is going out unless they absolutely have to.
I loved how the fisheye allowed me to get the whole triangle. It does make the intersection look a bit bigger than it really is, but that adds to the deserted feel and emphasized the point.
You don't have overhead traffic lights? Here, over the city line, we've got them overhead AND on posts, all at the same intersection. Go down the road to the county/city line and then there's no more on posts - they're all overhead. Scary things though... they weigh hundreds of pounds and in the wind they swing and it's a bit unnerving if they're swingin in your direction!
Rod I'm glad your as wrapt to see my neck of the woods as my actual neck! LOL!
It is tough to read all the comments. Some are quite lengthy, but yes, you do need to have the comments along with the pix to really get what it's all about.
Yes, Yes, Yes, I now can now see a little of a place I have no knowledge of & look into the shot at the houses, the shop that sells bagels on the corner, traffic lights that hang over the road on wires (we don't see that here) SUVs aplenty. You might call it dull Mary Ann because you live in America. I'm rapt just to get a glimpse at Lonnits neck of the woods. Take no notice of the pretty picy brigade Lonnit as their shots are like fast food, instant gratification & on to the next topic:-) Im sure not many of them are reading the comments along with the shots, it's like eating the apple pie before Mum has got the cream out of the fridge. yum yum.
