Madrid2*

Madrid, Spain

I understand my assignment as «photojournalist»
was to show the Spanish Capital as a the modern city it is too
instead of emphasizing its usual «Old World» or «Mediterranean» feel... ;-)

I don't put any off topic photos in pending db, I just make my comments & leave it up to the poster to decide. If you wanted the three shots to stand as one then you should have put all three together in PS & post that as one entry. As they are posted here we can only view one shot at a time & that is how we form our opinions & make comments. So you really needed comments under every one even though I made the mistake of not making it compulsory. So as I view this shot on my monitor it is off topic mate:-)

Thanks, Rod, for commenting; I really do apreciate your taking the time. I'm not sure, though, we can agree: I think this shot *does* tell you something about nowadays' Madrid if seen together with the other two pictures. I consider the three photos to be one single entry (hence the naming and numbering), one single result of my supposed «photojournalistic journey». (If you can't see my point, feel free to eliminate this image from the gallery, moving it to «Pending».) — db.

This one does nothing for me as far as the essence of Madrid is concerned. Your other two shots have the modern Madrid covered & we can see something of the place in them shots. But the lack of commentary to make this shot of steel & glass on topic makes it off topic mate:-) I'm not sure that commentary would even help. Have you got another shot db that shows a bit more of Madrid?

Thanks, alexeig, for commenting on my images. Please do not misunderstand me: the «Old World» and «Mediterranean» feel is an important part of Madrid; but all too often the other—modern—part of the Spanish Capital is completely neglected and ignored by many visitors from abroad. — db.

beautiful colors and geometry here, but, believe me, "Old World" or "Mediterranean feel" is something to be proud of ...
