Haifa used to be the main port of Israel. The city is in part level, in part on mount Carmel which is very close to the sea. This makes for some beautiful scenery (sorry, Rod:). This view is to the north, and you can see some part of the top half of the Bahai gardens, which are a wonder by themselve. It was a warm day (warmer than usual for this time of the year) but visibility was not that great, so the Haifa bay does not add the "postcard cuteness" to the photo...
