The original photo was badly underexposed, and I played with levels quite a bit to bring the image up even this far. I had reduced the resolution because I was running out of space on my memory card, leaving me less leeway in post-processing. However, I'll play with it a bit more if you say there's still some latitude in the histogram (which I don't really understand). I like the composition and the light but agree that it needs to have a bit more "pop."
Mary Anne, Have you considered using “levels” to adjust the tonal range of this one a bit? The histogram looks like you’ve got some room to do this if you like its effect. Brian
