This image was taken at Great Bear Lake, Northwest Territories, Canada, at Plummers lodge, which is almost exactly on the Arctic Circle. Time was about 11:00 pm local time. The lake is the largest lake of Canada and fourth largest of North America. The ice is off this huge body of water for only four months of the year!
