Try viewing it after a few stiff drinks & you will have trouble making it to the end of the balcony:-)

That's the problem - I travel right thru all the way to that little bright dot and then where am I? Miles away from the shot, that's where. :( I want to stay and linger and enjoy that beautiful sushine but my eye has no place to rest. I shoot off the end of the balcony and I'm gone. ~ Lonnit

You don't always need a subject or obvious focal point as long as your eye can travel through the shot which it does here. But the main thing about this shot is the feeling it imparts to the viewer.

The light is outstanding, the composition is fine, the problem I have with it is that it has no subject! What is the point of interest? Where am I supposed to look? This might work as a fine shot for teh contractor who laid the floor, b/c then the floor itself would be the subject. For any other purpose, IMO, the shot just does not work. Unfortunate b/c you had an ideal setup here - all you needed was a model or object of interest. :( ~ Lonnit

I agree with everyone else. I'd do just a slight bit of cropping off the left edge to eliminate the louvers and other MINOR distractions. Or I'd clone them out. But the pictures stands well as it is!

i love this shot...the choice of vertical panoramic composition made it for me. -Abstract
