Well here is a redo. Removed some of the green cast, I do like it better now. I had to resort to basic levels adjustments, setting highlight and shadow values is on my list of things I need to learn someday. rich

Rich, You should be able to download the photograph. I did the same thing as you are describing. Another option with PSE2 Levels is to set the highlight and shadow target values of the picture using the eyedropper. I tried this in PS CS and the outcome looks very similar to my S shaped curve. Rich is correct, PSE2 doesn't have curves, but I think it has adjustmant layer with levels. I think you can adjust each color separately. This does seem to have a green color cast.

Brian, How did you download the picy to your HD? I tried & it wouldn't open, it said it was an unknown file type. I just right clicked on the picy & clicked "save picture as".

Rich, I have PSCS not PSE2 but see if you can find on the menu bar > Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Curves. Let me know if its there and I can tell you what I think would work. If this doesn’t work perhaps you can post on the dpreview board and ask someone with PSE2 if you can do curves… Alternatively you could just try increasing the contrast. I hope you don’t mind but I thought I would show you the effect I was suggesting. I added a S shaped curve and left it a bit on the yellowish-green side to emphasize the setting sunlight. Thanks Brian and Rod. I have PSE2 and can't find curves, do I have it? I did a levels adjustment which darkened the green but it wasn't as warm and natural as the original untouched photo. rich

I agree with everything Brian said. If you're like me Rich & can't use layers then just pull down on the middle of the curves tool to darken it or the s shape, take out some green & see what that looks like.

Whoa! Now that’s golden and a bit too green... I’d be interested in hearing others opinions of the color balance of this photograph. I'd add a S shaped curves adjustment layer to increase the contrast and I bet you'll like what you see. Lastly I’d crop or clone out the leaves at the bottom as they don’t add anything to the image. Nice find! Brian
