Je pense donc je suis *

Luxembourg Gardens, Paris

There was a wonderful exhibit set up in the chess playing area - all sorts of art making wry comments on chess. It was such great fun, and the players of course were all so serious.

Ahhhhh yes! The cropping is wonderful now! All the leading lines and such have come together very nicely now. Great job! ~ Lonnit

I'm not surprised they're thinking. It's tough to be sure - this was the darkest third of a 5 mp image shot handheld at 1/10 sec. But I think this is the position . I can't tell whose move it is. Maybe some better players can comment, but it doesn't look simple. I like White's attacking chances in the short run, but if Black ever gets his pieces in play, White is toast. - Walt

Luxembourg Gardens is one of my favourite places in one of my favourite cities - both players look like they're quite worried there actually :)

Thanks for the comments. I've cropped it tighter top and bottom and the people pop out more. - Walt

I agree with Lonnit. Crop at the top of the painting, and the photo is a lot tighter. Nice capture of body language.

Wonderful shot! I'd crop it just to the top of the white panels though, because that hot spot in the upper right corner is very distracting. This scene is too good to be interrupted by that corner. Wonderful capture! ~ Lonnit

Good display of body language. I can feel the tension as they try to figure out their next move.
