Thanks for sharing your technique with us. I’ll definitely try it sometime.

Rod,
The background color or the image takes after the color of the umbrella portion that is closest to the black plastic surface; in this particular image it was the green portion of the umbrella. In the other examples sometimes it's blue, or red or a combination depending on the umbrella's position. Hope the thread I provided explained it in detail so that the CTFers may be able to try it themselves. This is what these challenges are about - to show your work and to learn from others. I'm glad I'm able to contribute to your forum.
Best Regards,
Sonny
P.S. Thanks thefly for the comment. And Rod, it's ok to get old - you wouldn't want the alternative :)

Thanks for the link Sonny but I'm still a bit confused (I'm getting old:-) As the CD & frying pan shots still show a recognisable background but the one you shot on black plastic shows green, brown, blue, etc but no black background. That's why I thought you had took the water drops from the one shot on black plastic & placed them on a green background in the shot above. A very nice effect & well worth the effort. Well done mate:-)

Thanks Mary Anne and Rod for the comments. Rod it is not a PS montage - I wish I know how to do a PS montage but I'm not that proficient in PS. The image was done using the steps outlined in this thread.http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1009&message=11328854. Try it as I'm sure you'll like it. Again, thanks for the comment.

What did your original shot look like Sonny? As I think I would prefer looking at that than a PS montage.
