Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, thank goodness! I couldn't take the stress anymore. This is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. :) Phew! See how the colors come together now? The shot is tied together. Nice job. ~ Lonnit

Julian then it's still too much on top. Cropping it right to that nub on top is perfect. You don't want all that dead space above the umbrella - it's still too distracting; it draws the eye up above the umbrella and you get stranded there. ~ Lonnit

I agree with Lonnit, the flag has to go. Crop the image to a little above the umbrella pin, clone out the bit of flag that remains and you will have a much stronger image.

If you crop of this shot to completely remove the flag on top, the compositon is vastly improved. Right now the flag just completely distracts me. Cropping it pulls together the composition and color set. ~ Lonnit

I agree with Julian. Perhaps if the woman was looking more directly at the boat, the picture would hold together better, but the top third of the photo detracts from the overall impact when the topic is "umbrellas."

Have you ever thought of cropping this image and getting rid of the regatta all together? It makes a much stronger image imho.
