Framing with shadow (*)

Used the light source to frame the hand and flower... basically had a lamp pointed from the side, played around with the shutter speed and aperature till I got this.

Canon PowerShot G5
1/25s f/5.0 at 14.4mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

No.. i love the three-sided framing in shadow.. I think if it were all four it would become more of a spotlight effect.. I've always liked dark-edged photos. i think they have an air of mystery about them. I also LOVE dead and decaying roses.. very well done..

Nice shot Nico, however, for a frame I feel the shadow needs to be more defined.

Great job Nico, it's a lovely photo. Just a thought... Perhaps if the shadow frame went around all four sides of the photo and the shadow was a tad darker it would fit the theme even better? if you can use a flashlight as a light source if would also make a nice round frame aswell.
