Traditionally, lotuses should be shown in all three stages: bud, blossom, and spent bloom. I just recently learned that myself and thought I would pass it on.

Thanks Don, I had quite a problem with the flowers disappearing in the busy background, even in the B&W version. I'm still not entirely happy with the result but also too lazy to do something about it. Just considering a rainbow frame. Tomas

An open-and-shut case for opposites, in addition to their color, of course. The use of black-and-white is excellent to focus attention on their tonal and shape differences. I have a feeling that color would have confused the issue.
