Gday James
There's a free download of Neat Image (google "Neat Image" for their site)that I use to get rid of unwanted noise that works really well. At their site you will also find profiles that someone with an A80 has made for iso50 to 400. So when you take a shot at iso400 you put it through Neat Image picking the 400 profile & it gets rid of the noise without any harm that can be seen to the photo. You do this before post processing. I'm still not sure if the digital noise is part of the attraction of this shot or not.

Rod Cheers for the tip. Thought that I had put a comment up saying that I had changed the picture. I understand what you mean about the digital noise but the A80 only has a max 15s exposure so to get this to come out I had to set the ASA at 400 thus the digital noise. At least no Blown highlights!! ;-)

That's a lot better, for me anyhow:-) I know you have a funny accent, but I promise not to laugh so you can converse with your keyboard:-) I almost missed the change as I saw no comment:-)

That's a great try & an unusual looking shot Jock. I would clone out what looks to be the house lights bottom right & maybe try & dodge or darken the tree branches down the left side. I can't really decide if the digital noise helps this shot or not. Well done mate:-)
