One of the sharpest, most fascinating 'spider images" I've ever encountered. Thank you very much for sharing this with us! Markjay

Wow, haven't noticed this one so far. I also like this version of the web. Tomas

Wow. impressive detail here, Rod.. I love the golden backdrop.. and the intricacy of the web

I like the detail and color. The first time I saw this one, it got me be a bit stumped with the web looking like that ;-) but the background really works well for this photo. I do agree with Nugar somewhat, perhaps a bit more of the web can be added, so the web sections that do appear stretch all the way to the corners of the photo because the spider looks to be suspended in mid air, if that was the point of the photo then this works swell. Maybe adding a little more web will also add more complexity aswell? The more and more I look at this photo the more I like it.

I agree Dorys, it looks better without the whole web. Looks more interesting, different and artistic.

i think i like this shot better than with a whole web. this is very different. nice job rod!

Hi Rod, This is a nice photo, although I'd rather see the web here. It seems like the spider is suspended in the air. Good detail.

Yep! You hit the nail on the head, Rod. I like those web "tracks" and the background color. The detail is phenomonal. Very, very nice. Shu

Thanks Lee & Nutcase, I did a Nugar & got the missus to hold up the backdrop, we tried black which showed up the whole web better but the spider seemed to look better with this backdrop. As usual the backdrop was very creased & spoilt the shot so I blurred it out which also got rid of the web & didn't mind the end result. Will try the shot again when Mereana gets home from sewing therapy :-) with the afternoon sun on the web.
