Thanks for the details. Then, kudos for you for taking that nice picture under those 'complex' conditions. :)

Jose Pablo, Thank you.
Yes, its a swiss army knife. this handheld-photo is taken outside (not on the winter trip, i mentioned earlier) so it was windy. I kept close two corners of the map under my two knees then placed a knife and a water-bottle on the opposite corners. I used my headlamp for lighting. -Abstract

Great lightning. I'm not sure about the Swiss Army Knife (?) on the top right corner, but I like it a lot.

Thank you Don, Rod and Dorys.
I agree Dorys...gps is convenient but compass is a must to have in wilderness. i dont think, i would trust my life solely with an electronic gadget. there are just way too many things that can go wrong with these devices and somehow one seem to experience Murphy's Law at its fullest in such trips. -Abstract

A GPS doesn't photograph half as good as a compass Dorys:-)

buy a gps... much less complicated! :-)

Nice shot Abs, the lighting sets it up nicely. Well done.

Finding your way can definitely be complicated. Good thought and execution. Glad you made it back :-)
