Good advice Lucem, thanks mate:-)

Rod, I'd have liked this photo much better if you zoom in a little bit more on the leaf and aim a little to the right to get more of the tree trunk in the rear, composition wise.
Giving the two trunks the same hierarchy so the leaf stand out more as a prominent element. Also more contrast might have given the trunks more roundness, but not sure without trying
Exposure, DOF and color wise is perfect though. Good shot pal.

The reason for next months date is that I can leave them posted here for the next challenge, that way I won't have to get out of me chair & use up all that energy. It's nice to see you nearly sober Dorys but when you're feeling better you will realise that the little green leaves aren’t really the focal point of this fine work. The tree bark is screaming "look at me" but with a surgeons precision I have placed the little green leaves where it can scream "Oye you, look at me" There's a battle going on before your very eyes, me wife reckons I'm brilliant. I'm sorry Byron me missus wont let me use frames as she ses I'm too mature:-)Cropping would be a good idea to make this shot more global I agree:-)

Nice shot Rod. I'd crop the left side a bit to correct the ratio and improve composition. (Oh... and awhite border around it would really add to your presentation of this piece of art ;^B ) -Byron

Re: Date
I believe Rod owns a modified Delorian : )

hmmm... i believe you must have transported yourself to the future and took the shot. there is no way you could have the wrong date on the camera. :-) it's a nice shot rod. have you thought about cropping to get even 'closer' to the subject? just a thought since it is a "close up" posh challenge. dorys

I keep coming back to this photo. Excellent job, Rod.

I love teh burst of color in the mostly monochrome picture. Cool capture.

Thanks aam, I took the little battery out of the camera to try in my non working remote & lost all my camera settings. I think my shots improved after as well:-)

Btw, the date in your camera is inaccurate. It reads 30-Nov.
