Markjay and Rod, thank you both for your comments. Actually, I took this photo for a twelve-step calendar I've put together as a fund-raiser for a women's rehab center where I volunteer. I did all the photos in black and white, and this one has been one of the most favorably received. The older hands belong to one of our volunteers (who just turned 89 last week!), and the younger hands belong to one of the women in treatment. I guess I've just looked at the B&W version so much while doing the calendar that I wanted to see it in color again.

I think this would have to be the best interpretation of "Comfort Zone" yet. Have you tried this shot in B&W? As I think the point would be made even stronger. Lovely shot Mary Anne.
Mary Anne, a very touching image. I can see you were trying to convey your love and affection for this other person who is obviously important to you. YOu have the right idea here. May I suggest (*) that you experiment with different / additional hand positions? For example, maybe one hand of hers and, your two hands cradling the elderly hand in a loving fashion. Or even the famous hand square I one hand over the wrist of each of the other arms, forming a square (I hope I expressed that clearly?) Thank you for sharing this touching image. Markjay
