It's the left side of a rather large red and white vase with a black line. I was intrigued with its shape. Shu

I gather from other entries that this is a B&W version of a lamp that appears elsewhere. -- Victor

Sorry to say, but if I can't recognize what it is, than it is too minimalist (or too graphical) to me, and not enough a photograph (just my 2 cents).

Ma, this is great!

The moment I laid eyes on this image I new it was yours, Shu :-)
This is my favorite image of the challenge thus far. What I enjoy most about your image are both the photographic nature of the image and the way the eye is drawn to follow the graphic lines of the image top to bottom. The jagged edge at the bottom of the image (*) for me, takes away from the smooth if not near perfect image that you've created here.

That's it. Great.

Yup, looks great for this challenge :)

There! Consider it done. Thanks, guys. Shu

I agree. Althought the image "as is" is wonderful, it will probably meet the challenge theme better without the texture. Nice job though. Dorys

Great image Shu, I would like to see it without the texture at bottom left. It looks good in the thumbnail so I'm not sure if it should be black or less textured. Beautiful shot though.

I'm thinking of removing the gray wall texture from the image. I liked the way it tied in to the gray streak in the vase and became a pleasing shape--but, maybe too much so. Boy, this is a touch one! Shu

I love this picture, Shu! About *, If I understand minimalism correctly (and this doesn't mean my images comply) I'd loose the lower left texture and leave it black. But at it is, it is a really nice pic.
