Pretty neat, *Photo Art* from the basic elements to make Art, Paint. Very nice.

I really like this. I like the whole look of the paints themselves and all the dirtyness - it makes it very pop. Most definitely a great poster to hang in a watercolor artist's studio. :) ~ Lonnit

Mary Anne, I like your crop but I just didn´t have the heart to change this photo, so I applied your crop technique to my new shoe entry:-)

Andrew, I really like the lighting, color, and composition in this photo, but I think it would be more minimalist if you cropped it a bit. Here's what I came up with: http://www.pbase.com/image/34523427 . Of course, like most people in this Challenge, I'm not really clear on what constitutes minimalism.

Rod, I haven´t studied art so I could easily be way off but I´m going for basic shapes and colors. I chose to do this photo because of the basic circles (ovals)and triangle in the photo. the colors aren´t all primary but what are ya gonna do:-) Maybe Nico can chime in and tell me if it´s not really minimalist because i, myself, am not really positive. Thanks for the nice comments too!

Nice shot Andrew, I'm intrigued by this subject as I knew nothing of it until Nico brought it up. With words like "use of basic shapes and monochromatic palettes" Yet most posters have posted what I call normal shots so I'm getting very confused:-) Can you tell me what you had in mind with this shot to represent minimalism? It has a graphic look like the minimalist artists seem to get, is this your angle? Thanks mate.
