Geek *

My office studio

Like Pops, I have many hats to wear. I have a formal profession, which constitutes my day job. But in searching for the essence of myself, I asked my wife and kids how would they describe me and they said, in unison: "Cybernethic".

And it is true. My true love are computers, which are completely unrelated to my formal field. I've been called a geek by programmers. I wear glasses, made thin, but powerful. I tilt my head and feel completely at home in front of my beloved PC.

But that is just a part of my geekness. I'm also a beginning photographic geek, and I won't stop until I learn to take good pics. I was a gardening geek for a brief time also. I just need to understand whatever field strikes my fancy.

Nugar, the Geek. (Oh, that's me btw on the pic ;))

That's good to hear, I did a little of viusal basic and never got myself to learn C++. On the other hand, if you can programm C, you will for sure be able to tackle PHP.

Hi Nugar. Glad we have common interests. Photography and geekhood :-) I don't know much about internet programming languages, just a little html but I'm slowly learning some Flash. I work mostly with win32 based compilers, writing in C++, Pascal, Delphi.

Ooops, I forgot: thanks for your comments!

Tracy, after I took the picture and revisit it, I've realized just how strong is the grad of my glasses!

Techo, (fellow geek?) yup, you can see there: SecureCRT with a SSH link to one of our servers (Linux-based), DreamWeaverMX, which I use mostly in code mode, CuteFTP, UltraEdit32, which I use for js, php, etc., and last but not the least my belly. I should state that it is not a beer belly, but a bread belly ;o)

The picture was taken by my wife on the trip where I shot the Embera pineapple-peeling woman.

wait a second... do I see some coding being done? ;-)

Great concept Nugar... I like how you've made the vision clearer through the frames of your glasses.

Thanks Andy :) I'm still thinking what can I submit for the other two pics. I think I don't have old pics dealing with this, since I tend to hide behind the camera.

lol, nice idea and execution. you may find that most of us identify in one way or another with this one...or maybe i´m just speaking for myself!

Thanks for your words, J :)

I like the way you think Nugar! I have so many old and new hobbies and interests that it gets confusing at times as to who I am and what I am. This is a great composition of your essence. Very nice!
