Daddy

My father was a professional photographer - weddings, graduation, etc.
I spent those young years watching him in the darkroom but went on to other artsy forms: painting and sketching.

Strange how not even a year ago I started getting into photography at my ... erm... advanced age.
He's very proud .. and annoyed that he got rid of his good lighting equipement
before I "discovered" how much I loved the shooting of images.

This last June he came to visit and we went out taking photos together.
This image was my capture of him taking a photo of the same beach scene I had just taken.

Jude, this is very sweet and shows your deep love for your father. I am so happy for you that you are able to share your love of photography with your dad. My father gave me my first camera and was always very supportive or me in whatever I did. I miss him. He passed away in 1992. Ann C

I got my little point and shoot canon about 2 years ago this coming November. I didn't get into really doing photos until about a year ago.. didn't really even learn how to use resolution and compression correctly until a year ago November.. and started getting serious last January. Got my Rebel in May.

For some reason I love photos from the back of people, I feel it tell a better story, and this photo is not different.

I have a question Jude, did you really start photography only a year ago. --- aam1234
