Yes, I am a nurse, but my name's not Kaye :-) I'm not one of those modern day nurses with degrees coming out of my ears, and student loans bigger than a mortgage. I received my training the old fashioned way with in hospital training. I started with the bedpans, and worked up to intensive care units. We (my graduating class), didn't spend a lot of time in the classroom, but our hands on experience taught us more than any textbook ever could. We diploma nurses are a dying breed, and new grads, with their heads overloaded, are constantly asking us for advice.
As to the image itself, this is a larger than life sculpture made entirely of sand and water, and was an entry in this year's International Sandsculpture Competition in my hometown of Harrison Hot Springs, BC, Canada. The sculpture is part of a larger sculpture titled 'Hocus Pocus Medical Clinic', created by the Sandboxers Team of U.S.A. I'm the official photographer for the contest this year, and photos of the finished creations are being duly processed.
