Panama La Vieja *

Panama


Founded in 1519, burnt down in 1671. The city was moved in 1673 to the Old Quarters (Casco viejo), which I portrayed in the past challenge. The ruins have survived all this time as a testimony for violent past times.

Sí, me gustó Panamá mucho pero solo estaba alli por 2 días. Hablo español pero perfectamente no. Me voy a voluntar este otoño (america norte) en Guatemala para mejorar mi españól. En enero, mi servicio con el Cuerpo de Paz comenzará, tambien en Guatemala. Me gustaría volver a conocer Panamá pero no sé cuando tenga la oportunidad. Pero estoy seguro que voy a regresar alli un día:-)

Yes, I think I do have some P&S film pictures in an album somewhere. I'll have to dig them up. I haven't gone through that album for quite a while so I'll get the chance to relive my few days in Panama;-)

Nice photo Nugar. It's nice to see your pictures of Panama. I remember walking through this part of the city about 4 or 5 years ago. We had a very nice taxi driver that walked around with us as our guide.
