Wow what a great job. Being the photographer and the poser. You have one of the best self portraits I've seen. Highly admirable , working with the tools you already have.
What you need is a good photographer to take the pictures so you can concentrate on the modeling only. Trying to do both things well at the same time is very difficult and very tiring. You did well with this shot though.
Thanks. Yes, there is a whole bunch of them. I had such a hard time with it though b/c I don't have any lights. I wanted something much more contrasty but I couldn't do it with the room lights. I was relegated to using the light of the makeup mirror, which would have been a good side light, but it meant too slow shutter speeds. I couldn't avoid the blur. Had focus set on a book standing next to me, that I used as a marker to line up with. Hitting the mark was tough too - sheets kept moving! LOL! I ended up having to bounce a flash right above the mirror lights, but it was too bright. I used 10 tissues folded in half, laid over the flash to dim it. It was very frustrating dealing with the light, the mark, getting properly into the frame, cut off hands, cut off head, too far left or right, avoiding "wardrobe malfunctions", then trying to get all that to happen with a half decent expression on my face! Oh yeah, also was impossible to throw the back wall OOF. Grrrr! The shoot took about 2 hours and was very tiring. I still don't have the nifty cable release with the timer that I'm salivating over, so I had to run back and forth to the camera for EVERY shot! I did it about 85 times!!! If I have time to process another one or two, I'll toss them into exhibition. ~ Lonnit
I knew you'd come up with something! Well done....lovely self portraits. I think I like the colours and lighting in this one the best...but the other one is nice too.
